Some paints listed on the paint comparison chart and paint range sections have a "MiniPainters Swatch". Wherever you see this mentioned, the colour you are seeing has been sampled by me from the paint pot itself.
How are MiniPainters Swatches sampled?
To take a sample of paint and generate a colour code I take a reading from the paint in the pot (or in the case of dropper bottles fresh from the pot) using a colour picker app on my phone. This gives me an RGB colour code that I can enter into the MiniPainters database
Accuracy of these readings
As discussed in my article on accuracy, these readings cannot be 100% accurate and I accept that. However, from my experience in doing this they are typically more accurate than swatches provided by the manufacturers.
How to show MiniPainters Swatches
When browsing the paint comparison chart or paint range sections, you can choose to show only MiniPainters Swatches in the listings. To do this, click the icon and under Swatch Preferences make sure Show MiniPainters Swatches is selected.

What's next?
At launch there are only a few MiniPainters swatches populated, but hold tight - my priority to this point has been launching the site, and over the coming days and weeks I will be populating as many as possible. Starting with the paints I have in my own collection, and then filling the gaps by sourcing the rest.
